Automated Orthotic Manufacturing System.

AOMS

In July 2004 we were the first to invest in a CAD/CAM system. We are proud to have set the standard here in New Zealand.

AOMS scan

Foam impression and plaster casts can be scanned.  Alternately a foot scanner can be used by the Podiatrist.

Here’s what our clients enjoy from us...

Innovation

In 2004 we were the first laboratory in New Zealand to offer automated orthotic manufacturing. Since installing our Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) milling machine have produced thousands of orthotic prescriptions for podiatrists.

Technology

Using a high resolution laser scanner to digitally map the plaster cast or foam impression, we then make the required corrections to ensure the positive mould is precisely matched to your patient's requirements.

The advantages of automated manufacturing include; faster delivery, improved accuracy and the ability to produce identical prescriptions for patients who want orthotics for several pairs of shoes.

Experience

While laser scanning and CNC manufacturing ensure accuracy, our experienced staff hand finish the orthoses. Each shell is machined and polished, pads, extensions and covers are attached then a final quality inspection before they are packed and dispatched.
